Being that it was hot today I took the day to go around and do my follow up spraying/treatments. I sprayed in Cloverhill, Briery Branch and Mt Solon.
When I clean and restore a part of or all of a cemetery I offer a second application of the cleaner I use if the customer wants.

I am really bad about my before and after pics and today was no exception. These stones were very white when I pulled up but knowing that there’s “hidden growth” I sprayed them all.
You can see the “rust blush” as I call it on the sides of the stones facing North, this tells you that there’s growth there and it’s being cleaned. This disappears in a few days, especially after a good rain…and the cleaning continues!
First picture is today with re spray, second is Jul 23’ after restoration, last picture is Sept 22’ before any work performed.

A quaint Family Cemetery that I was asked to clean and restore. All stones were cleaned and approximately 15-18 were righted/straightened or levelled with the exception of the cast iron headstone and foot stone in a few of these pics.

Beautiful Family Cemetery at the foot of Little North Mountain here in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.

I’m set up to do one stone, a few stones, or an entire Cemetery. Services: cleaning, repairing, restoring or righting and levelling.
Areas covered: Wi******er to Wytheville, Charlottesville to West Virginia.

One of the most interesting Monument Markers I have come upon.
This is the second wooden marker(can’t call it a stone) that I have seen since working in many Cemeteries and Graveyards.

This marker is for a young girl by the name of Paulina Neff. She was just shy of 7 years old when she died in 1862. I’m pleased to say that this marker should come fairly clean by fall, I checked on it this past weekend and the mold/lichen is starting to fade.

I hope to form a mould out of heavy plastic to fit neatly over the top to help slow the deteriation. It is splintering heavily on top. It’s about 2’ x 1’ x 2 1/2” in size. Who can guess the wood it’s made of?

Here are some pictures involving just cleaning. I’ve taken 3 different sets, before, after initial cleaning and several months later. The stone will continue to brighten and whiten as the summer goes on. I will get a picture of it in the fall to see if the “stubborn black mold” stains are gone. Sometimes it takes an additional treatment to rid persistent stains.

Over the last couple of weeks, I have been working along with driving these kids to school every day also.
This is a job in Cooks Creek Presbyterian Church graveyard. It is one of the oldest graveyards in the county and was originally started where the current Silver Lake is.
This stone inlaid in concrete on the ground as it was broken up sometime in the past is from 1795. If I remember correctly client told me this guy served during War.
Stones cleaned, reset and one repaired.
Please call or contact me if you need stones cleaned, repaired or restored.
I do one stone…to the entire graveyard/cemetery!

Recently a job took us to Riverton WV to clean/repair and restore 5 stones in the Historic Dolly Cemetery. Several were broken and all needed leveling and cleaning. This has been a 3 phase project as the epoxy and mortar need time to cure before a new part of the job could be done.
The scenery is beautiful and I will return one more time to affix the final part of one tablet shown and the job will be complete.
Thank you Mr George Hickey for the opportunity to restore your ancestors stones.

Back in late April I started the cleaning process in the old historical part of Linville Creek Church of the Brethern. This is the part of the graveyard the Elder John Kline is buried in.
Initial picture shows before status
Second picture shows after Biologic Cleaner is applied
There is a washing process that follows the cleaner
The last picture was taken yesterday on Jul 1, this shows the progress of the cleaning that is taking place. This cleaning will continue until cold weather in late Nov to early Dec

If you or family members need stones cleaned and have questions pls don’t hesitate to call. Thank you, Mike. 540 578-4344

This weeks jobs were in two cemeteries. First is resetting 3stones that had to be initially move to accommodate an interment. I enlisted the help of David Raynes of Rockingham Cnty Cemeterians with his tripod to set this obelisk up.

After some follow up spraying of some cleanings I decided to finish off my day by righting these two Obelisks. They stand bout 2’ tall small bases, little Historic Lime mortar on the one to the right and I’m done right? Easy peasy.
Wrong 👎 🧐 the base on this one to the left was 2’ DEEP! To right any stone you must first get to the bottom! I got there after some roots and a lot of digging. Win some, you lose some..bug and the windshield, anyway it’s done!
