Hero of the Day: Julian Alcala, a Florissant MO "former" police officer.
Initially, police department did NOT do what they do with every other perpetrator -- which is to release their full details, where they live, their booking photo, and everything else anyone could possibly want to see.
Instead, the department didn't even release his name. He is no longer employed by that cop shop -- but they won't say whether he resigned or was fired, if he's become a gypsy cop in another department, or what. They didn't arrest him. They did not turn his case over to the district attorney.
The ONLY reason he's being pursued at all is because the FBI actually did its job for once and told his victims.
Now, one of those victims has found an attorney, and that attorney filed a lawsuit on her behalf against the cop, publicly naming him for the first time.
Time to abolish the Florissant police department, prosecute those who were aware of the crook's actions, and start over.

Stop asking government weasels to do things for you that can be better accomplished by the private sector.
