We are facing a good problem and would appreciate your help. Our programs are growing, and to better serve those in need in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, we are expanding our reach.

We are looking for 3-4 folks who could spare 2 hours a month to help us pack home and personal care products for our veterans' deliveries and meat for our total monthly deliveries.

We are also looking for someone willing to join our delivery team to transport and deliver hope to those in need.

From April 1-9, we have been nominated to compete in "The 2026 Best of the Valley" for the best nonprofit. We are humbled and appreciative of the nomination and the honor of being listed with many others, making Harrisonburg a wonderful place to live! A huge thank you to Coach Napier and JMU Football for spending a Saturday afternoon with us and for the preparation that will enable us to serve our community in person and through our delivery program!

On Saturdays, they are typically running up the scoreboard at Bridgeforth or throughout the Sun Belt Conference, but on this day, they were tackling hunger in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County!

Hope Distributed is proud to be a part of the 2026 on Wednesday, April 22. This one-day event is pivotal in ensuring that we can continue serving those in financial need in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County.
From in-person food pantries to home deliveries, from providing clothing to baby care supplies, and from serving local school children, the elderly, the handicapped, the United States veterans, to anyone in need of a "hand up," we thank you for your support, partnership, and love.

As we welcome you to 2026, we want to pause and say a heartfelt thank you for making 2025 such an incredible year. Because of your support, dedication, and belief in the mission, this past year was filled with impact, growth, and meaningful moments that truly mattered. Together, we saw lives touched, communities strengthened, and hope shared in powerful ways—and we are deeply grateful for every person who played a part.

Looking ahead, Hope Distributed is more excited than ever for what’s to come. We are committed to continuing the same awesome work that has defined our journey so far, while also pressing forward with renewed vision and energy. The needs are still great, the opportunities are growing, and our passion to serve remains strong. Each new year gives us a fresh chance to love more deeply, serve more faithfully, and reach even further.

Question of the week.

As a child, what was your favorite Christmas gift?

When I was 4 years old, Santa brought me a "Shirt Tales" drum set! I discovered this awesome gift at 3:30 am and began to play it - or what I considered playing it. I am sure it sounded more like Animal from the Muppets. I may have awakened the entire neighborhood.
