We are saddened to announce the passing of our Company’s founder Dan Brubaker. Dan was an accomplished farmer and business entrepreneur. He established Virginia Silo in the 1960’s. If you see a silo in Rockingham County and beyond He probably built it. He largely pioneered innovation and automation in crop storage and agricultural feeding systems in the area. Innovations that many of our customers rely on today.
More importantly Dan was a good person invested in the betterment of the Harrisonburg/Rockingham community. Dan was the guy that quietly gave back to his community, through countless charities and contributions, not to take credit or draw attention to himself. We are very grateful for the framework he developed for our Company and the example of business leadership and community service he exemplified. We extend our deepest condolences to his family.
