We were heartbroken to hear about the passing of FF Bennett of the Camden Fire Department in the line of duty. FF Bennett served Camden with absolute pride and dignity. Our deepest sympathies go out to the members of Camden Fire Department as they mourn the loss of a great man.

Engine 36-11 and crew were honored to stand at attention amongst our fellow fire departments during FF Bennett’s procession to Inspira Mullica Hill.

Over the past 48 hours, the Harrisonville Fire Company has remained active throughout the township.

Prior to the winter storm, crews responded to a motor vehicle crash at Ferrell Road and Commissioners Road, where one patient was extricated and turned over to EMS.

During the storm, members assisted Gloucester County EMS with multiple medical incidents by shoveling and clearing snow covered driveways to ensure ease of access upon their arrival.

With temperatures remaining below freezing, icy road conditions are expected to continue. If you do need to travel, please utilize caution.

📣 2025 Year-End Review 📣

As 2025 closed out, we reflect on yet another year marked by continued growth, dedication, and service. With the ongoing support of our community, township, and partners, we have been able to make improvements that strengthen our ability to protect South Harrison Township and surrounding areas.

2025 Accomplishments:
• Tanker 36-14 was sent out for refurbishment to maintain reliability and readiness.
• The purchase of battery operated extrication equipment, including a combi tool, cutter, and ram, enhancing our response to motor vehicle accidents.
• Implementation of SEEK Thermal Imaging Cameras (TICs) to improve operations during search, fire attack, and overhaul.

Service Overview:
Throughout 2025, we received calls for 667 incidents. Since 1938, Harrisonville Fire Company has provided fire protection as a volunteer department, resulting in hundreds of thousands of dollars in cost savings, well over an estimated $800,000 annual cost to South Harrison Township.

Thank You:
We are grateful for the dedication of our volunteers, the support of our township, and the trust placed in us by the community we serve.

The Harrisonville Fire Company needs your help.

Many longtime residents may remember the original Harrisonville Fire Company cookbook, “Burnt Offerings,” created by the Ladies Auxiliary in the 1970s or 1980s. It was filled with community recipes, local business advertisements, and plenty of Harrisonville character. We’re excited to bring this tradition back for a new edition, and we want our community to help create it.

We are putting together a new community cookbook to support our operations, and this is your opportunity to have your recipe featured in a book that will be sold throughout our area. Whether you have a blockbuster meal, a family favorite passed down for generations, a weeknight go-to, or Great Grandma’s famous goulash, we would love to include it. We also welcome gluten-free dishes, household tips, stain-removal tricks, and anything else that belongs at the dinner table or around the home.

Submit your recipe or home tips using the link below:

Recipe Submission Form:

If you prefer to submit a paper copy of your recipe, our members are at the firehouse every Tuesday at 6:30 pm at:

Harrisonville Fire Company
30 Main Street, Harrisonville, NJ 08039

We will also be offering advertising space in the cookbook for local businesses. Details on sizes, pricing, and how to participate will be posted soon. If you own a business or know someone who does, please share this information.

Cookbooks will be available for $20 once completed.
