Harrisonville Rotary Club The Rotary Club of Harrisonville is a service organization with the motto - "See the Need. Do the Deed." Jefferson Parkway, Harrisonville, MO 64701.

The Rotary Club of Harrisonville meets on Wednesdays at noon at the Harrisonville Community Center, 2400 S. The meetings are open to all. Founded in 1977, the club boasts three charter members. Our knowledge of community needs is extensive and we are committed to meeting them head on. In addition to our local community, our vision is global with participation in projects and events worldwide. Rota

ry’s annual programs include the Casco Workshop picnic, the Burnt District Festival BBQ booth, KC Day to support Rotary Youth Camp, monthly recognition of elementary students for Service Above Self, scholarship presentations at Harrisonville High School and Cass Career Center, sponsorship of Boys and Girls State participants, the Flag Program, which offers businesses the opportunity to display flags on six holidays throughout the year, and the holiday adopt-a-family program. Rotary also donates funds to support several local organizations including Young Life, the Ministerial Alliance, the Just 4 Me Summer Backpack program, the library summer reading program, the Harrisonville Public School Foundation, Senior Mania, and the Cass Regional Medical Center Foundation. ROTARY IN ACTION
This afternoon Rotarians came together for part one of a new service project. The group reclaimed the boards from the North Park Activity Center which the club built about 60 years ago. The wood will be used for a project at Harrisonville Early Childhood Center Wildcats. Any guesses as to what? Stay tuned!

Useless knowledge as Mr. Foster likes to say, but he was part of the building of the activity center & now the tearing down. We’re pretty lucky to have him in our presence!

Today, Harrisonville High School junior Taylor Hollingsworth, this year’s RYLA participant, shared highlights from her experience at the academy. She reflected on the friendships she built and the service project her group completed during the week.

Senior Anna Tews, who participated in RYLA last year, also spoke about returning this summer as an intern, where she helped plan activities and served as a mentor to this year’s participants.
