First week in the books!!
We had an amazing first week in the CJ/CSI class. The senior leadership planned an entire week of team building exercises and classroom management strategies.
The incoming students are fantastic!! We focused a lot on communication activities The blind draw, which focuses on what you communicate is not always what is recieved. Both parties are responsible for the outcome, so how do we make are communication more clear, concise, complete, and correct. WOW do we have some artists!!
The students played telephone charades. It helps them understand that communication breaks down the more an idea is communicated whether through speech or action.
They participated in trust games such as the blind obstacle course, and the blind ring game. Knowing your partner has your back is key in this career field!
I am so proud of the command staff because all of their hard work over the summer paid off!! Great job!! I cannot wait to see what the rest of the year holds.
I also want to thank my new students for believing in us and trusting the process. It is going to be a great year. Keep up the good work, and keep pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. You never know how far you can go unless you push the boundaries of what you believe is possible!!
