Harrisonville Middle School Track & Field State Championship Announcement

History was made on May 2nd as Harrisonville Middle School competed in the Missouri Track & Field State Championships for the very first time! HMS proudly sent 27 athletes to compete at the state levelβ€”the largest and first state championship team in school history.

We are proud to recognize the following state medalists and place winners:

Congratulations to Dawson Jones, who was recognized at the HMS last day assembly as the recipient of the $1,000 Donna Pfautsch HATS Scholarship, presented by Larry Pfautsch! πŸŽ‰πŸ’™

The scholarship honors an eighth grade Harrisonville Academically Talented Students (HATS) student who demonstrates academic excellence, creativity, leadership, problem-solving skills, and a love for learning.

Dawson was recognized for his strong academic achievement, involvement in fine arts and athletics, passion for learning and science, and thoughtful future goals. Congratulations, Dawson! πŸ‘

Students enjoyed prize drawings from MAP testing tickets earned throughout testing week, relay games between classes, and the chance to pie Mr. Culpepper, Mr. Norris, and Mr. Turner! πŸ˜„

Happy Last Day!!

Yesterday was full of fun, and the dunk tank was definitely a crowd favorite! Today, every HMS student received and sign yearbooks provided by the Harrisonville PTO. A huge thank you to Harrisonville PTO. HMS truly appreciates all you do for our students and staff!
