It was a great weekend enjoying all the festivities Friday and Saturday at Carry Nation Days on Downtown Belton Main Street. We enjoyed listening to Teresa Deaton Band and Tate Stevens. The drone show was amazing!

Thank you Belton Parks and Recreation for the hard work that went into making this festival a success!

Thursday evening I attend the Cass County Veterans Coalition meeting and learned about the Warriors' Ascent program and the important work being done to support our veterans and first responders.

One of the things that stood out to me was the importance of recognizing and addressing the unique challenges many of these heroes face after their service. Programs like Warriors Ascent provide valuable resources, support, and hope for those who have sacrificed so much for our country and community.

I am grateful for the organizations, volunteers, and community leaders who are working together to ensure our veterans know they are not alone. Taking the time to listen, learn, and understand the needs within our community helps us all become better advocates for those who serve.

Thank you to the Cass County Veterans Coalition for the meaningful work you do on behalf of our veterans and their families.

This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice and courage will never be forgotten.

As we gather with family and friends today, let us take a moment to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who gave everything for our nation. 🇺🇸

We spent the day out in the community attending two great local car shows in Pleasant Hill and Belton, knocking doors in between events and passing out signs. It’s always a privilege to meet so many hardworking residents, hear what matters most to them, and connect with the people who make our community strong.

From classic cars to front porch conversations, today was a reminder of how important it is to stay engaged, accessible, and involved. Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit and share your support.

Here are some photos of a few of our favorite cars from today!

Some of the best moments happen after the meetings, events, long days… when we make it home in time for what matters most. 🌅🐄

Last night, that meant enjoying a quiet moment with the cows as the sun set over our farm. These are the moments that keep me grounded and remind me of why community, family, and hard work matter.

Home always has a way of putting things back into persepective. Grateful I made it home before dark last night to take a moment and enjoy the simple things.

It was great attending the Mayor’s State of the City meeting today at the Harrisonville Area Chamber of Commerce. Thank you, Mayor Zaring. I appreciated hearing updates about the growth, progress, and future vision for the Harrisonville community. Citizens were encouraged to look for updates at City of Harrisonville, MO to be informed of what’s happening in the community as they launch a new public education campaign called “Your City, Our Mission”.

Thank you to our city leaders, business community, and Chamber members for their continued commitment to making Harrisonville a strong place to live, work, and raise a family. I always value opportunities to connect with community members and stay informed on the issues impacting Cass County.

Thank you to The District Bar & Grill for catering today’s lunch! It was delicious as always!

This week I had the opportunity to attend the State of the District lunch meeting at Belton School District #124 Curriculum Center. We learned about plans for the future of Belton students. The programs offered to the students are amazing. The Academies of Belton program helps students decide their career path and sets them up for success. The program has done so much to give back to our community, as well!
