It’s voting day. Today when considering tax increases or extensions, even for things you view as good, such as schools, really consider if it’s truly needed. Right now many are struggling financially, the continued raise in property taxes is overwhelming to many. We need to realize that with each vote to raise or extend a tax levy/bond it is continuing to put a strain on those that own homes. If you rent, I promise you, your landlord is also figuring in those taxes when he raises your rent. When they say “No Tax Increase” its deceptive, that means they continue to collect for a longer period. Just understand what you are voting for. Also remember ballot language can be deceptive. It is very limited. Vote smart, don’t be deceived.
