Active and retired law enforcement officers are invited to participate in the Law Enforcement Walk-Through on Thursday, August 20th. Please arrive no later than 1545 hours. Uniform of the day or civilian attire with badge displayed.

Calling all vacationing, seasonal, and part-time Harrisville residents! 🏔️🏠As you begin planning your transition away from Harrisville for the upcoming season, the Harrisville Police Department wants to make sure your property stays secure while you are gone.

Whether you are a resident away for a few months, or until next summer, we have the watch! Our Vacant House Check service is available for long-term seasonal absences, as well as shorter periods of time away. You can customize your security level to choose whether our officers perform routine drive-by checks or physically step out to walk the exterior perimeter of your home. How to set up your long-term watch:

2. Key details to include: Be sure to list long-term details like your winter contact info, active security cameras, timers, and any local keyholders or caretakers authorized to be on your property.

The Harrisville Police Department extends our deepest condolences to the family of local resident Earl Nelson. His leadership in law enforcement spanned many decades, leaving a lasting impact on several local and state agencies.
