Have you noticed the squiggly lines on the Town roads today? Due to a severe shortage of road salt this season, the Highway crew is turning to a new road treatment protocol, using a liquid melting solution. This new method of de-icing uses a version of liquid magnesium chloride. It is less corrosive, for vehicles, pet-friendly, biodegradable and better on vegetation and lakes.
Stay safe out there!
