Ahoy, Campers! Rookie Day Camp a Huge Success!!
Ritchie County Extension recently hosted another highly successful Rookie Day Camp for first-year campers and older Cloverbuds. This year’s Pirate theme offered a fun, interactive way to engage the youth, featuring exciting themed games like Walk the Plank, Long John Silvers Says, and Peg Leg Races. Campers toured the campgrounds, participated in a counselor scavenger hunt, make crafts, and enjoying delicious snacks and lunch. The day wrapped up with a mock council circle to give the new campers a true taste of the summer camp tradition.

A Huge Thank You!
A big shout-out goes to our incredible Teen Leaders. Their hard work, energy, and leadership were instrumental in making the day safe, fun, and memorable for the next generation of campers!

Ritchie County Extension Office was invited back to the middle school end of year party. Once again we offered tie-dye to all the 5, 6, and 7 graders. We had a great time and the kids were very polite and awesome to work with. Thank you, Ritchie County Middle School staff for inviting us to join you again this year.
