Old Fort Harrod State Park

Old Fort Harrod State Park Old Fort Harrod State Park is one of Kentucky's 44 State Parks. We commemorate the First Permanent Anglo-American settlement west of the Allegheny Mountains.

The town was founded by James Harrod on June 16th, 1774 and a fort built the following year.

If you plan on coming to the Settlement and Raid today, you may want to reconsider. Old Ft. Harrod is experiencing severe weather. The ground is saturated and you can’t park on the grass to unload. Hopefully tomorrow will bring sunny skies.
