⚠️ 🚨HIGH WATER ADVISORY 🚨⚠️

Due to recent rainfall, there is standing water on several city and county roadways. Please use extra caution while traveling today.

Slow down when approaching areas where water is visible. Even shallow water can cause your vehicle to hydroplane and reduce your ability to stop safely.

If the roadway is covered by water, TURN AROUND — DON’T DROWN. Never attempt to drive through flooded roadways. The depth and condition of the road beneath the water are often impossible to determine, and it only takes a small amount of moving water to sweep a vehicle away.

Please allow yourself extra travel time, remain alert, and help keep our first responders safe by avoiding unnecessary risks.

Stay safe, and if you encounter hazardous road conditions, report them to your local authorities.

While one lane is still closed, the roadway is now open to traffic. College Street in front of Whitaker Bank is currently closed due to a working structure fire. Emergency personnel are on scene and working. Please avoid this area until further notice.
