Mercer County Fire District Mercer County Fire District proudly serves the citizens of Mercer Co. Kentucky. Mercer County Fire District is a volunteer fire dept in Mercer Co. Ky.

Excluding the city limits of Harrodsburg and Burgin the MCFD covers somewhere around 253 square miles of property in Mercer Co. We have 8 stations located throughout the county and operate roughly 33 apparatus (8 engines, 7 tankers, 2 heavy rescue, 5 squads/rescues, 6 utility, 2 squad/brush, and 2 Polaris Rangers.) Our county hq/admin/training center is located at St. 12- McAfee. We provide fire s

uppression, assist with ems on medical runs, provide haz-mat response, vehicle extrication, search and rescue, and other types of technical rescue. We are roughly 145 members strong, but are always looking for new potential recruits.

There will be a special called meeting of the Mercer County Fire Board on June 1 beginning at 6 PM to discuss purchase of command vehicles. This meeting will take place at station 12 in McAfee on Louisville Road.

This evening station 12 members got to double down on their apparatus checks and spend some public education time with the Carpenter's Church Trail Life group (Christian Boy Scouts) in doing a chapter on fire safety.
Was an honor to get the trucks out and share with our youth the day in the life as a volunteer firefighter.
