Cassian Volunteer Fire Department Volunteer Fire Department for Cassian and parts of Woodboro Wisconsin

05/06/2025

Our area is in the VERY HIGH Fire Danger category today.

Burning Permit Restrictions
Due to fire weather conditions, burning is not allowed today. All DNR-issued burning permits are suspended. Burning in barrels, debris piles, and grass or wooded areas with your DNR annual burning permit is prohibited. Campfires, though strongly discouraged, are allowed if used solely for cooking or warming purposes, but please use extreme caution. Consider having small campfires in a designated fire ring or device in the evening hours to avoid burning under elevated fire conditions typically found during the day. Please note-- areas outside of DNR Protection and within the limits of incorporated villages or cities may create their own burning ordinances, as well as set their own burn restrictions.

Please don't start outdoor fires today and be mindful of common wildland fire causes... improper disposal of ashes, sparks from equipment, careless disposal of cigarette butts, etc...

We would like to thank The Cassian Community for supporting Our Department at yesterday's Chicken BBQ!

It was a huge success and we would like to give an extra thanks to those who were able to lend physical support at any time throughout the day along with businesses that were gracious enough to donate in some form.

It is our pleasure to host this amazing event and we look forward to July 5th 2025.

Chicken is coming off the grill. Cars have filled the yard. Come on down and enjoy this beautiful day!

Yesterday, we had the honor of presenting a check for $3,422 to the Cassian Volunteer Fire Department on behalf of the Harshaw community. We appreciate the time, energy, and efforts of these volunteers. Thank you to all who donated and participated in the raffles to make this possible. Much love to our awesome community ❤️!
