Tornado sirens will be tested this Friday August 7th at noon!

HCFD responded to a 2 story residence on August 1st at approximately 2:55am. A grandmother and her 3 grandchildren were asleep inside the home. The family was alerted to the fire that had already vented out the 2nd story by the SMOKE DETECTORS that were in the residence and had working batteries. They were able to safely exit the home and dial 911. We can not express enough how important working smoke detectors are in saving lives and property. Take this as a reminder to check your smoke detectors and make sure they are working. We are happy that everyone is safe and will be thinking of the family as they move foward.

As of now the Hartford City Fireworks are still going on! They will be sent up around 10pm hope to see everyone there to enjoy the show!
