Cemetery Update:

Not all trees have been removed but the trees that were posing a threat of harm and safety have been dealt with.

If you see something while visiting that needs our attention, please feel free to contact us at the office or this page to report it. There are several old trees that we know of that need removal and are working through them each year.

If you have any question please feel free to reach out as well. Also, please stay away from Apple & Sons as they finish their job. It is quite extensive and you will see that when you do visit.

Please no visitations to the cemetery! There are several trees already down and at least one next to a roadway that is split from top to bottom and will snap with a large wind gust!

For now, we ask that you DO NOT visit until this wind calms down and we can get these trees that are damaged removed.

If you do need to be at the cemetery be vigilant and keep your ears and eyes open for falling debris.

If you are trying to call the office please walk in today. Our phones have been down for two days and the company is trying to get them back on for us. Please be patient with us. It’s just as frustrating to us as it is for you.

If you are requiring assistance or have questions about assistance please do not call the office. Our phones have been down for about a week and we are working to fix them. As they said, just like that the 2025 beautification by Apple & Son’s begins! Watch how well this works!

And just like that 2025 begins with spring cleanup.

For those interested in cleaning headstones at the Hartford City Cemetery.

Time: 8:00 - whenever you want to leave
Location: Hartford City Cemetery (State Road 26)
Lunch: to be served (Pizza)
What to bring: rubber gloves if you have them and a willingness to learn and clean.

We will be working with an Ammonia based solution for anyone with sensitivity.
