Blackford County Courthouse

Blackford County Courthouse Blackford County's 2nd courthouse, featuring a 165 foot high clock tower, was built on foundation stones from nearby Montpelier quarries.

At a cost of $129, 337.83, this Richardsonian Romanesque structure was constructed 1893-1895.

The Blackford County Courthouse will be closed Tuesday, May 5 for Election Day. Voting can take place at the Lighthouse Church in Hartford City and the Community Center in Montpelier. The Courthouse will open with normal hours 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
