Hello everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to update you on the recent performance of the City of Hartford Police Cadets at their latest competition.

Overall, the cadets represented the City of Hartford with a high level of professionalism, discipline, and skill. They competed in a variety of challenging events, including MILO (police use of force simulation, Active Threat response, Crisis intervention, Traffic Stop scenarios, Physical Conditioning, and Suspicious Person investigations.

I'm proud to report that the cadets performed exceptionally well across all categories. Notably, they earned a 3rd place finish in the Active Threat event, demonstrating strong teamwork, communication, and tactical awareness under pressure.

Beyond placements, their overall performance reflected the quality of their training and their commitment to developing as future law enforcement professionals. They conducted themselves in a manner that brought positive recognition to the police department at the City of Hartford.

Tonight, the Hartford Police Cadets trained on scenarios involving domestic violence and disorderly conduct. The cadets are preparing for their upcoming cadet competition in Milwaukee this May.

If you’re interested in becoming a cadet, please reach out to us! This is a hands-on experience that allows you to gain real-world skills, meet great people, and travel to new places.

It’s the last day to get your car washed to support the Hartford Police Cadets! 🚓💙

Last day - Sunday, March 7th, 2026, any wash you purchase at Uncle Larry’s Car Wash (2712 E Sumner St) can be donated directly to the Cadet program. And with temps hitting 58 degrees in February in Wisconsin, it’s the perfect time to wash that winter salt off your car! 🌞🚗 If you’re already a member, just tell the attendant, “Please donate my wash to the Cadets.” If you’re not a member, simply select your wash and choose “Cadets” on the next screen — your wash will automatically support the program. Come once or come every day; every wash helps our Cadets grow, learn, and lead. Thank you for supporting our future leaders! 💙

The Cadet Fundraiser is officially underway! Even though it’s chilly outside, our cadets are ready to wash and dry your vehicle with care. Stop by the car wash, and once you select your wash, simply click on our photo or let the attendant know you’d like your wash donated to the Cadet program. We’ll be here until around 3 p.m.—happy to dry your car if you’d like or answer any questions you may have about joining or supporting our program. Thank you for helping our cadets grow and succeed!
