I didn’t learn about the history of Juneteenth until I was well into adulthood. Rep. Walker taught us all another lesson about why it is so important that we share and acknowledge the true history of this country and for that I will always be grateful.

With schools out and more kids on the road during the day it is *so important* that families are aware and enforcing the rules/laws regarding safe road travel.

There's been a lot of discussion on social media about e-bikes, and for good reason. We need parents' help in getting ahead of a tragedy that will inevitably occur if we continue to see the behaviors some riders display on our roadways. Please monitor your kids' use of these bikes, FOLLOW THE RULES OF THE ROAD, and have them wear their helmets. The classifications of the bikes can be confusing, but common sense is not. Help us prevent crashes and injuries by holding your child accountable before we have to, and certainly before we have to respond to a preventable accident scene.

Beautiful, if very warm, night at the Woodbridge Strawberry Festival! Great crowd, fun music, delicious food, and even some history! Great job to everyone at FCC Woodbridge for baking and organizing and Troop 907 for cooking!

My daughter Evie and I dropped off some supplies at Woodbridge Regional Animal Control this afternoon to help with the huge - and unexpected - responsibility of caring for over twenty animals that came from the incident in Beacon Falls.
