Center for Latino Progress - Connecticut Puerto Rican Forum Since 1976, the Center for Latino Progress, a nonprofit, has been dedicated to uplifting Hispanics and vulnerable populations in Greater Hartford.

We drive positive change through education, leadership development, economic empowerment, and advocacy. The mission of the Center for Latino Progress - CPRF is to advance the socio-economic conditions of the community at large, with emphasis on Hispanics, through education, training, supportive services, leadership development, and advocacy. Since 1978, the Center has offered culturally competent services and programs that foster individual and community growth, and create economic opportunities for all. We specialize in providing cost-effective programs to the marginalized and disadvantaged residents of Hartford and neighboring communities, in order to help them enter the economic and social mainstream. In addition, the Center advocates for the betterment of Latino communities at local, state, and national levels in partnership with statewide and national organizations. Our objective is to see that the people we serve have the skills and competencies needed to succeed in employment, become stable members of their communities, gain civic engagement, and achieve financial sustainability. To reach these goals, the Center has created models of contextualized vocational programs, comprehensive support services, and civic/leadership educational activities. The Center for Latino Progress - CPRF is recognized by the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) to provide affordable legal and linguistically appropriate services, and culturally competent naturalization programs to the growing legal permanent residents in the area. The Center is proud of Co and Hartford

Happy 100 years, Bulkeley High School!

The Center for Latino Progress was proud to join the celebration of a century of learning in Hartford.

For the past six years, we’ve had the honor of running the after-school program for Bulkeley students. This year, we’re proud to step up as Bulkeley’s lead community partner. Watching our students grow, and seeing the teachers and staff show up for them year after year, shows how much these young people can achieve.

Here’s to the next 100 years, Bulldogs! 🐾

A night of learning and community! Our Voter Captains came together at the Center for Latino Progress to pick up their Voter Captain Kits and practice talking with neighbors, friends, and family about voting.

We also shared an overview of CT Paid Leave: who qualifies, what it covers, and how workers can take time off to care for themselves or a loved one without losing their income.

Thank you to everyone who came out. Informed communities are strong communities!

También compartimos información sobre CT Paid Leave: quién califica, qué cubre y cómo los trabajadores pueden tomar tiempo para cuidarse a sí mismos o a un ser querido sin perder sus ingresos.

¡Gracias a todos los que participaron!

Call us at 860-247-3227 or stop by Fridays, 9am–2pm.

Your voice matters. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. The voter registration deadline is this Friday, Oct. 16, and you can also register and vote the same day in person. Early voting runs Oct. 19 – Nov. 1.

Nuestro equipo le ayuda a solicitar, gratis. Llámenos al 860-247-3227 o visítenos los viernes, 9am–12pm.

Tu voz cuenta. Las elecciones son el martes 3 de noviembre. La fecha límite para inscribirse es este viernes 16 de octubre, y también puede inscribirse y votar el mismo día en persona. La votación anticipada es del 19 de octubre al 1 de noviembre.
