๐Ÿ›๏ธ 6th Grade Visits the State Capitol

Recently, our 6th grade class had the opportunity to tour the Capitol building as part of their government unit.

During the trip, Daniel Cain, Executive Vice President of Albany Strategic Advisors, joined the group for lunch and shared insight into his work. He explained how his team researches proposed bills and helps support the legislative process behind the scenes.

This experience was a great way to wrap up the classโ€™s government unit, where students explored both ancient governments and modern systems. ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿ“ข Important Update regarding our Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) program

Beginning in the 2026โ€“2027 school year, the district plans to expand UPK to a full-day (5-hour) program for all enrolled students. This exciting step reflects our continued commitment to supporting early childhood education and giving our youngest learners more time to explore, learn, and grow.

๐ŸŒŸ Hartford Students Participate in Regional Student Summit ๐ŸŒŸ

Five Hartford students recently had the opportunity to attend the Wellness, Inclusion, Diversity, Equity Regional Network Student Summit hosted by WSWHE BOCES at the Carriage House at Fort William Henry in Lake George.

Representing Hartford were Evalyn B, Audrey F, Silver S, Brian, and Lane T, who joined students from across the region for a day of collaboration, discussion, and activities focused on:
โ€ข Empowering student voice
โ€ข Creating welcoming school communities
โ€ข Fostering belonging and community engagement

The summit encouraged students to share ideas, learn from one another, and think about how they can help strengthen their own school communities.

We are proud of these students for representing Hartford and bringing their voices to this important regional conversation! ๐Ÿ‘
