Alongside our state and local leaders I secured $29.4 million in additional state support for two Branford school construction projects as part of the recently passed Connecticut state budget.

This increased reimbursement rate for Murphy and Tisko Elementary School projects represents a significant investment in Branford students while helping reduce the anticipated financial burden on local taxpayers.

“It will help advance Branford’s strategic vision for education, creating the high-quality learning environments our students, teachers, and families deserve," Comey said. "I’m grateful for the partnership with my colleagues and for Governor Lamont’s commitment to ensuring every child has access to an excellent education."

When I came to Hartford, I came with a clear purpose: to fight for the children and families of this community, and to make sure that state government is actually working for the people of Branford.

I'm proud to be a representative who shows up — who answers emails, who responds to constituents, who is present in this community in ways that go beyond the campaign season. I remind myself of that every day to keep myself accountable.

I am honored and humbled to accept the nomination from Branford Democrats to continue serving as State Representative for Connecticut's 102nd House District.

There is so much more work to do — for our children, for our seniors, for our environment, for every resident of Branford who deserves a government that actually sees them and fights for them.

I am ready to do more. And I am so grateful to do it with all of you.

🗳️ 🇺🇸 Absentee voting for all eligible voters is now law in Connecticut, expanding access to the ballot box and giving every qualified voter the option to cast their vote by absentee ballot.

This change comes after Connecticut voters overwhelmingly approved a constitutional amendment in 2024 supporting absentee voting for all, marking a major step forward in modernizing and strengthening voter access across our state.

Public Act 26-42 removes certain restrictions that previously limited absentee ballots to voters who could not appear in person on Election Day for a narrow set of reasons. With this change, any eligible voter who prefers to vote absentee may now do so.

The right to vote is the foundation of our democracy. Expanding access to absentee ballots strengthens participation, increases flexibility, and ensures every voter has a convenient and secure option to make their voice heard.

To vote by absentee ballot, eligible voters must complete an absentee ballot application and submit it to their town clerk. Applications can also be submitted online through the Office of the Secretary of the State’s secure portal. For more information on applying for an absentee ballot, visit myvote.ct.gov.
