ππ¨ EARLY MORNING WORKING FIRE β DOUGLAS STREET π¨π
Hartford Fire Department companies responded to 70-72 Douglas Street shortly after 1:43 a.m.for a reported fire in a three story, wood frame, multi-family residence.
Thanks to the quick response and coordinated efforts of our Hartford firefighters, the fire was contained and placed under control. Everyone made it out safely, and there were no civilian or firefighter injuries reported.
Incident Highlights:
π₯ Working fire involving the third-floor cockloft on the Alpha side
π¨ First alarm assignment with all hands working
π₯ Three handlines in operation
ππΌResidents from the second floor were safely evacuated
π₯ Primary and secondary searches completed, all other searches negative
π¨ No injuries reported
π¨12 residents displaced: 7 adults and 5 children across all three units
π¨ Hartford Fire Departmentβs Special Services Unit is assisting the displaced families in coordination with the American Red Cross
π The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Hartford Fire Marshalβs Office
