CT History is Women’s History

The Connecticut Women’s Heritage Trail connects you with places across the state where remarkable women lived, worked, created, organized, and changed history.

Explore the sites and stories of Connecticut women who made lasting contributions as scientists, doctors, educators, artists, innovators, athletes, activists, and leaders. Whether you are planning a family outing, a classroom visit, or a day trip, the trail offers meaningful ways to experience women’s history in the places where it happened.

We have some exciting news about the evolution of our organization! 🚀

To better serve our community, we are shifting our focus from a social action group to a direct clinical care provider.

Our advocacy efforts for systemic equality have found a powerful home. Lisa Del Sesto, MPA is now the President of CT NOW. This is where we will put all our energy into legislative action and fighting for equality. Please follow the CT Chapter of the National Organization for Women (CT NOW) to stay involved!

With advocacy moving to CT NOW, We Are Women Rising will focus entirely on its identity as a women-led organization dedicated to providing direct support and clinical services. Our mission remains focused on uplifting all people, especially marginalized groups like senior citizens, neurodivergent individuals, and individuals with disabilities.

As part of this clinical shift, we invite you to follow Rising Stars ABA. Rising Stars is proudly led by our Vice President, Raine Palladino, BCBA, LBA-NY, CT, providing high-quality, compassionate clinical care directly to families.

Thank you for rising with us through every phase of this journey. We are so proud of our roots and excited for the direct impact ahead! ✨
