I’m proud to welcome $350,000 in state funding for high-quality special education programming in , made possible through Senate Democrats’ flagship education legislation. That is how leaders are supposed to respond to hatred, and I commend them for it. But we should not comfort ourselves with the thought that this issue has been resolved.

Beginning today, eligible Connecticut residents who lost SNAP benefits due to the Republican federal budget will be sent a one-time $300 grocery benefit through a prepaid virtual grocery card. CT Democrats won't stand by while Republicans in Washington take away vital assistance from our communities.
