Industrial Mechanics and Welding at HACTC The Industrial Mechanics and Welding program is for creative thinkers who enjoy designing and building.

IMW a technical program at HACTC (Hartford Area Career and Technology Center), located in Hartford, Vermont, and educating students from: Hanover, Hartford, Home Study, Lebanon, Mascoma, Thetford, Windsor, and Woodstock. In the state of the art IMW facility, students work on projects like building a all aluminum M151 replica with electric power, fabricating sugaring arch's, designing and building

a wood chip boiler to rebuilding a 1978 Austin MIni.. Students have over 28 pieces of major shop equipment at their disposal including a 48”X 96” CNC plasma cutting table witha Hypertherm Powermax 85A plasma cutter. The IMW enjoys a unique friendship with Hypertherm who not has not only donated equipment, but also established$500 dollar scholarships for 2 IMW seniors each year.
