A day of 9/11 remembrances ended at home in Glenville. It was great to see the Scouts of Troop 35 there to give the Pledge of Allegiance and to learn about the day, before they were born, that America was attacked. As one speaker today said "they hit the Towers, they hit the Pentagon, they hit Flight 93...but they missed America." And every day since 9/11 and especially today, was proof of that.

Sept. 11 Remembrances continued in Stamford this afternoon at the Mill River Park. There, ten elm trees, representing the ten Stamford lives lost on 9/11/01, were planted years ago and are now tall living monuments. Today, the meditation area of this beautiful park was added.

Today we remembered the 25th Anniversary of Sept. 11 in Greenwich Cos Cob Park. We remembered the terror, confusion, and loss, inlcuding 33 members of our Greenwich community who perished. But we also remembered the extraordinary good will, sense of unity and patriotism in the days that followed. May we honor the memory of all who died by uniting in that spirit for this great country every day.

Last week, I met with representatives from CT Natural Gas to follow up on the question: "Does Greenwich have natural gas capacity to supply our current housing stock, much less increased development? Answer: NO! Current supply is adequate, but system capacity is not.

Before the Supermajority passes bills forcing housing density, we have to answer these basic questions first.

Thank you, First Selectman Camillo for flagging the issue.
