Hey Everybody.
The Big Boy Train is supposed to come through Hartford on Saturday, July 18th at approximately 2pm. The train is expected to travel South on the tracks close to Delmar Ave.
Please be aware that the train will be on a set of working railroad tracks.
Please stay back away from the tracks at least 50 feet for safety.
Please keep drones and cameras back at least 35 feet.
The tracks and the property on each side is Private Property.
Trains, especially one of the biggest, do not stop suddenly. They need plenty of time to stop.
Please be aware that there could be other trains on the tracks and ANY set of railroad tracks should be treated as working and take caution.

We hope you all find a safe place to see the train. If you do not get a chance to see it come through Hartford, you can go to this website and find a map and schedule of the train journey.

This morning the Hartford, Roxana, South Roxana and a couple from Mitchell Fire Departments got together and trained on some vehicle extraction. We practiced stabilzation on a couple cars and then cut the doors and roof off a couple.
Thanks to LKQ for the cars and the space to train.
It was a good training with everyone.

Hey. Hey. Hey. Hartford.
Just wanted to send out a reminder of tomorrow's events.
There will ba a Parade starting at Noon from the Gym to the Park.
Please refrain from parking on Delmar and be mindful of traffic during the parade.

We will Also be having our Celebration at the Park all day. Please expect more traffic and people in town due to this.

Finally. We will have Fireworks at Dark. Please take care of your furry friends during the show due to the loud Booms.

This only comes around once a Century, so we Thank You for your patience while we Celebrate.

The Hartford Fire Department purchased new lights for 3850. This is our 2001Rescue Truck that we use for EMS calls. The old lights were dull and hard to see and some of them were not working at all.
With the help of the Great People on the Department, new LED lights were installed. These people did an Awesome job getting the old lights off and the new ones installed. They came in on their own time, working together, to make this truck look Great.
I would say this Truck is Parade Ready.
Don't forget to come.to Hartford this Saturday at Noon to see the new lights.
Thanks to the Wonderful people that helped get these installed and working.
