Opportunity can start with a single conversation.

At a recent Community Resource Event hosted by BRIDGE CT and Unified School District #1 at York Correctional Institution, 168 women connected with educators, employers, state agencies, and community organizations to learn about resources available after release.

For many participants, it was their first introduction to employment services, education opportunities, and support programs designed to help them build independent futures.

BRS and BRIDGE CT are proud to help individuals explore career pathways, access resources, and prepare for success in their communities.

BRS VR program provides a variety of services to people with disabilities when it comes to employment. One of these services is job retention, which can be impacted by progression or changes in disability or needs of the job.
Here are our Job Retention services explained:
1. Vocational counseling to help identify service needs to keep your job
2. Evaluations or assessments to assist with identifying solutions to new barriers
3. Assistance with training or education, if needed to help with upskilling or reskilling
4. Special equipment or technology to address disability-related barriers
5. Job coaching to assist with learning new tasks and achieve job stability.
