Cedar County Transit will be celebrating Public Transit Week March 16th-20th!!

🚌 Thank you, Governor Jim Pillen, for celebrating Public Transit Week in Nebraska!

On March 3rd, Governor Pillen joined NATP board members and association members for a proclamation ceremony recognizing Public Transit Week, March 15-21, 2026.

We're grateful for the Governor's support and recognition of the vital role public transportation plays in connecting Nebraskans to healthcare, employment, education, and essential services across our state. Public transit strengthens our communities and keeps Nebraska moving forward!

Cedar County Transit is here to help you with all your Transportation needs. We drive Monday-Friday 6 AM to 6 PM and the office is open 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Please remember to schedule all rides in advance. Call us at 402-640-6147 or 402-254-9147. Transit does accept all Nebraska Medicaid companies and works with several other programs through DHHS.

Cedar County Transit fares will be changing effective 1/1/2026. The Nebraska Department of Transportation has reduced our reimbursement by 30%, thus we are slightly raising our rider fares and changing our method of billing agencies. We are trying hard to adjust to the new budget and still provide a great service for our community. All rides needs to be scheduled in advance, we are recommending a week or longer notice for transit. Riders need to be flexible in pickup and drop off times and let office know of all stops needed for their trip. We will be combing as many riders in a vehicles as possible. Cedar County participated in the annual NATP driver roadeo this week. Proud to share Laura placed 3rd in the competition 🏆, Michelle received the driver sprint award 🎉and Nikki was a judge. We participated in training and enjoyed networking with other Tranist agencies from across the the state.
