September is Library Card Sign-Up Month! To celebrate, we'll be highlighting some of the non-traditional (aka not book) perks of having a library card.

Up first: we just started a new streaming service called Biblio+! Using your library barcode, you can sign up for unlimited free streaming of movies, TV series, and documentary films. Get started today at biblioplus.com!

Our Featured Artist for September and October is Lori Hampton. Lori is a passionate hobbyist and lives in Hartland with her husband, Dan. Her art is inspired by her father, Al Sylvain, who was also an artist. Their paintings are displayed together for the months of September and October. Have you heard? HPL is engaged in a pilot program with Norwich and Thetford in an effort to increase accessibility of materials to patrons using the OneCard system. Rather than going to another library to borrow a book within our OneCard system, you/we are able to place holds at other libraries and ship directly to us using our Interlibrary Loan courier system. It's all handeled via the catalog - no need to fill out an ILL form! We are hoping this will be implemented with OneCard libraries by next year.

Enjoy the changing of the seasons by reading Kenard Pal's watercolor and pencil picture book, "Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn". The Storywalk will be for the month of September starting on 9/5, beginning at the pizza oven.
