The town of Hartly is sadden by the news of the passing of the great Senator Nancy Cook. Sen. Cook served this community for many years with pride, honor and respect. Sen. Cook was always a phone call away for any support she could give the town and the community, she was a huge supporter of the Hartly Volunteer Fire Company where you could find her helping in the kitchen, cleaning off tables to even jumping in the engine for a first hand experience of the need of paving North St.

The town would like to thank Sen. Cook for all her years of public service and also a thank you to the whole Cook family for sharing her with us. May God be with the family during this tough time

Hartly community, here is a great opportunity to learn how to drive safely and be prepared. Check it out!

On Sunday, April 19th, at 0900 hrs, we will be hosting a Basic & Advanced Defensive Driving Course.

Certified instruction provided by Interstate Training Alliance. We are offering this course to 50 of our fire community members for FREE. Class begins promptly at 0900 hrs, and lunch will be provided.

Benefits of the Basic Course include a 10% discount on auto insurance; Refresher Course participants earn a 15% discount, and all participants earn 3 DMV driver’s license credits. Space is limited. You must register online:

We want to take a minute to send a HUGE shout out to the men and women at the Hartly Volunteer Fire Company for answering numerous calls in the past 24hrs. You dedication and sacrifice does not go unnoticed, THANK YOU! Also thank you to everyone that had to be out battling though this storm.
