Thanks to your feedback and recent analysis from our engineering team, we have an update on the potential realignment for CR53 around the proposed Project. This realignment would be closer to the reservoir and more closely follow Caddo Road and Chimapavi Trail. Please let us know if you have thoughts on this new potential realignment.

This year's drought is highlighting how important reservoirs are as critical water savings accounts. Learn more about why the is needed: https://wildhorsereservoir.org/about/why-wild-horse/.

[Image description: Reservoirs can serve as water savings accounts. Reservoirs store water in wetter years so that we have enough water in drier years.]

FYI

Planning to fish the Dream Stream over the next few weeks? Anglers will notice increased flows as water is released from Antero Reservoir. Aurora Water is working with Denver Water and Colorado Parks and Wildlife to manage the release of water from Antero through Spinney Mountain Reservoir and into the Dream Stream. Flows below Spinney will increase over the next week and remain in the 250–300 cfs range through May. During this period, you may see increased turbidity in the water.
