Teamwork in action!

It’s always great to see City of Hartselle departments working together to make great things happen for our community. Today, our Public Works team lent a hand to the library staff as they prepared for their summer reading program, Dino Dig!

Our library consistently offers some of the most creative and engaging programs for students anywhere around, and this one is sure to be a hit.

The storm that came through this afternoon has disrupted our phone service at the City of Hartselle. If you have an emergency, call 911. We are working with Spectrum to restore phone service quickly.

⚠️ POWER OUTAGE UPDATE ⚠️

The City of Hartselle is currently experiencing significant power outages across portions of the city due to a weather-related incident that occurred early this afternoon.

At this time, Hartselle Utilities reports approximately 1,100 customers without power, while Joe Wheeler EMC reports approximately 3,000 customers affected by outages.

Utility crews are actively assessing damage and working to restore service as quickly and safely as possible. In addition, Hartselle Police officers will be deployed to assist with traffic control at affected intersections.

We ask all residents to use caution when traveling, especially at intersections where traffic signals may be out. Please treat any non-functioning traffic signal as a four-way stop.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as our utility providers work diligently to restore power to our community. Additional updates will be provided as information becomes available.
