🇺🇸🎨 Our community showed up in an AMAZING way!

We are absolutely blown away by the incredible talent on display in our America 250 Teen & Adult Art Contest. From patriotic landscapes and historic landmarks to meaningful symbols of freedom and community, our local artists have created a truly inspiring collection that celebrates America's 250th birthday in so many unique and creative ways.

🎥 This video is just a preview. You really need to stop by the library to experience these pieces in person! The craftsmanship, creativity, and variety of artistic styles are even more impressive up close, and we're so proud to showcase the talents of teens and adults right here in our community.

Our judging is officially underway! One judge has already completed their evaluations, and two more judges will be visiting next week before the winners are announced.

Thank you to every artist who shared their time, talent, and creativity with us. You've helped create a beautiful tribute to this once-in-a-generation America 250 celebration.

🎲🎮 Ready... set... PLAY!

Join us on Wednesday, July 8th for Wonder Tales at 1:00 PM, then stick around for an afternoon of board games and video games beginning at 1:30 PM! Whether your child enjoys classic tabletop games, exciting video game challenges, or discovering something new, there's fun waiting for everyone.

Along the way, kids will build teamwork, practice problem-solving, and sharpen their strategic thinking—all while making friends and having a great time. We hope to see you for an afternoon filled with stories, smiles, and friendly competition!

🦕 Get ready for a dino-mite afternoon of slimey science! Join us Wednesday, June 24th for Wonder Tales at 1pm, followed by at 1:30pm, where young explorers will create their very own dinosaur slime. Stretch it, squish it, swirl it, and discover what makes this gooey mixture so fascinating! Expect messy hands, big smiles, and plenty of prehistoric fun. Don't forget that our twice-weekly adult exercise program, "Soleful Steppers," is happening again TODAY at 2pm! We're trying out new moves and new music—just what the librarian ordered! 😉💕

👟 This program is a GREAT way to keep yourself moving, energized, and connected. Whether you’re looking to boost your fitness, meet new people, or just enjoy a fun way to stay active, this program is for you.

We meet every Tuesday & Thursday at 2pm at the Hartshorne Public Library. It's totally customizable to your needs: make it low-impact or high-energy. All fitness levels are welcome; just bring your comfortable shoes and a positive spirit. Let’s take steps toward better health together!
