Almost 20 years ago, a special friendship was formed during a Samaritan’s Purse week spent doing cleanup after Hurricane Katrina. Barbara is truly a gift and she drove across county by herself to visit friends on the East Coast! Even with MS, not much keeps her down and she is truly an inspiration! And she got to meet my Mama too! We loved our food and service at The Rooster yesterday and today!!

It’s been a long time since I’ve updated you on what’s going on in my life and what I’ve been working on. I’m Diane and I live in Hartsville, SC with my 92-year-old Mama. She is sharp as a tack and together we make her Eye Spy Quilts for young ones. She used to do them all by herself, but now she cuts all the adorable squares that go on the fronts (56 for each quilt) and then I finish them up and let folks know when they are available! I’m self-employed and while I did marketing, graphic design and social media since the 70s, I am now focusing more on sewing (including custom special projects), mixed media of all kinds, doing custom pet portraits, and I’m now adding home illustrations ( see my first attempt in the pics). I’m also getting ready to add a new Instagram account called .good.buys where I’ll be cleaning out my house and selling art supplies, fabric, vintage items and collectibles and custom pieces featuring clay, fabric, embroidery, and lots of whimsical treasures I’ve collected over the years. There is nothing there yet but I’ll make an announcement as soon as I’ve got a good many treasures featured. Lately I’ve faced some health issues with my heart and so my health has had to take a front seat and slowed some of my plans down. But it will happen. I’m getting out more with my sidekick Button, and making plans for my next trip to Seattle to see my first grandchild, who is the cutest baby ever, but of course I’m biased. I absolutely adore following all of you creative friends on IG and FB! Thanks for inspiring me every day to keep going! Hi everyone! It's been awhile since I posted here, but I have done away with my website so will be updating this business page and my other pages more often. Wise Design is moving away from marketing and more towards original and custom design work, whether it's a quilt or a pet portrait, like the one shown here with Dudley. In my next post, I'll tell you the best way to contact me if you are interested in ordering a custom pet portrait, because for the month of November, a portrait is only $40 each. $5 off the regular price! Shipping is also free for the month of November. These make great holiday gifts!
