Saturday May 30,2026 Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Joshua Brewster. Brewster was wanted for causing a personal injury motor vehicle crash on Hwy 231 S on May 19th. Brewster was charged for failure to render aid, failure give immediate notice, Reckless Endangerment 2 counts and a parole violation.

🚧🚧Road Closure🚧🚧
A representative from Jones Bros asked the public be made aware on Monday, May 4, 2026 Starlite Rd will be closed at Lock 6 Rd. Any residence will be accessible from Hwy 25 E. This intersection will remain closed for about 3 weeks.

On Tuesday April 21, 2026, at about 9:40 AM, the Sheriff's School Resource Officer assigned to the Middle School noticed an unknown male walking on school property. The SRO and other Deputies detained the man. He was found to be a foreign national, drinking from an open beer can. He was arrested and transported to jail, charged with public intoxication, possession of an alcoholic beverage on school property, and an open container violation. A hearing is scheduled in General Sessions court.
