Fourth Grade Math in Action!

Our fourth-grade Tigers are building strong math skills through hands-on learning and engaging stations!

Students are:
*Multiplication: Solving multiplication word problems using tiles to model their thinking.
*Place Value: Using a spinner to create 4-digit numbers, then writing each number in standard form, expanded form, and word form.
*Addition & Place Value: Using base-ten blocks to strengthen their understanding of numbers and addition.
*Math Fluency: Building speed and accuracy while mastering their 6s multiplication facts!

Our Tigers are using different strategies, manipulative, and lots of mathematical thinking to grow their confidence and skills!

Our third-grade Tigers are putting their hands to work! Students are clapping out words to determine how many syllables each word has.
Each clap represents a syllable, helping students break words into smaller parts and build stronger reading and pronunciation skills.
Say it. Clap it. Count it!

Learning About Theme in Third Grade!
Ms. Jamison’s third-grade Tigers were hard at work learning about the theme of a story! Students followed along with the projected lesson, shared their thinking, and discussed the important message behind the story.
To wrap up the lesson, Ms. Jamison gave students an exit-ticket question:
“How can you be a leader?”
Our Tigers had some great answers:
* Be respectful.
* Make good decisions.
*Always use your manners.
*Be kind.
And there was a little extra motivation! Every student who shared an answer earned Dojo Dollars—classroom money!
What a great way to check for understanding while encouraging our Tigers to think about leadership, kindness, and making positive choices.
