🚒 Hartville Rural Fire Protection Association wants to hear from our community! 🚒

As we continue looking for ways to bring people together and support our department, we’d love your input on the kinds of community events you would enjoy seeing here in Hartville.

What would you and your family like to participate in?
• BBQ or fish fry?
• Community breakfast?
• Kids’ day or touch-a-truck event?
• Raffle nights?
• Bingo?
• Car show?
• Holiday events?

Events like these not only help bring the community together, but also help us continue improving our equipment and capabilities for the people we serve. Thanks to the support we’ve already received, we were recently able to purchase several new air packs to replace outdated equipment, helping keep our firefighters safer and better prepared on emergency scenes. The new air packs are pictured below.

Drop your ideas in the comments — we’d love to hear what the community would like to see next!

Thank you for continuing to support your local volunteers and the mission of protecting our community. ❤️🚒

Hartville Rural Fire Protection Association responded to a structure fire earlier today. Crews quickly pulled a line and made entry, allowing us to rapidly locate and extinguish the fire before it could spread further.

This quick stop is a direct result of the dedication, teamwork, and ongoing training our members put in day after day. We’re proud of how our personnel performed on this call.

We’d like to thank Grovesprings Fire for their mutual aid and support on this incident.

We also want to remind everyone to make sure your smoke alarms are working properly and to have a fire escape plan ready for your household. Taking these simple steps can make a big difference in an emergency. 🔥 🚒

With spring in full swing and many people working on controlled burns, we want to take a moment to reshare an important reminder for our community.

If you are planning a controlled burn on your property, please be sure to call the non-emergency dispatch line beforehand at 417-547-7182. This helps prevent unnecessary emergency responses, saves valuable department resources, and keeps our crews available for true emergencies.

Thank you for doing your part to help protect our community!

This weekend, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty during National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend.

Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten. We stand in solidarity with their families, their departments, and communities across the nation as we reflect on the true cost of service.

As part of this remembrance, we will participate in the “Sound the Sirens” tradition on Sunday at 12:00 PM. Residents may hear our siren at noon as we take a moment to honor those we have lost.

We encourage everyone to pause with us and remember these heroes and the legacy they leave behind.

Today, our Assistant Chief traded in his helmet for a plumber’s hat 👨‍🔧🚒

We’ve been hard at work remodeling part of the station, and thanks to his efforts, we’re one step closer to having a washer and dryer dedicated to our structure gear. This upgrade will help us keep our gear cleaner, safer, and ready for the next call.

At the same time, we’re another step closer to getting our new mini tanker up and running—an important addition that will help us better serve our community when every gallon counts.

It’s just another example of the many hats our members wear to keep our department running and our community protected. From emergency response to station improvements, the job never stops—and neither do we.

We appreciate the dedication and hard work that goes on behind the scenes every day!
