In honor of Dispatcher Week, we want to recognize our life lines behind the scenes. While most people see the face of action—police officers, firefighters, EMTs, or drivers—it’s the dispatchers who keep everything moving smoothly behind the scenes.
Dispatchers are the calm in chaos.
They answer calls that can range from routine to life-or-death, gather critical details in seconds, and make split-second decisions that guide responders to where they’re needed most. Their words can save lives long before help arrives.

Thank you to all of our amazing dispatch staff at Ravenna City Dispatch. You do not go unnoticed.

Public service is the backbone of a functioning society. From city halls and courtrooms to classrooms, emergency response units, and community health centers, public servants work daily to keep communities safe, healthy, and thriving. Among them are countless women whose dedication, leadership, and compassion often go underrecognized. Taking the time to acknowledge women in public service isn’t just about celebration—it’s about understanding the impact they make and ensuring their contributions are seen and valued. As we celebrate Women’s History Month in March, we would like to recognize the women who serve this department. Officer Martincic, Officer Spangenberg, and of course our beloved Mrs. Linda Marx. We appreciate these women very much.
