Note the start time change to 6:00. The gates at Herndon Stadium will open at 4:30.

Due to the latest weather forecast, tonight’s graduation ceremony will now begin at 6:00 p.m. with hopes of being in Herndon Stadium. If weather conditions change, graduation could be moved into the gymnasium.

We appreciate everyone’s flexibility as we work to provide the best possible experience for our graduates, families, and guests while prioritizing safety.

It is graduation week, so will be spotlighting the final committed graphics for the Class of 2026 and where their journey will take them next after HCHS. This class has a bright future.

Administrators are closely monitoring weather conditions for tomorrow evening’s graduation ceremony, currently scheduled for 8:00 p.m. in Herndon Stadium.

If weather conditions favor an earlier start time, the ceremony may begin at 6:00 p.m. If conditions improve later in the evening, we may delay the ceremony until as late as 9:00 p.m., but no later.

Should weather conditions require a delay beyond 9:00 p.m., the ceremony will be moved indoors to the gymnasium. Graduates will receive 7 tickets each at graduation practice today in case the ceremony needs to be moved indoors.

We will provide families and guests with as much notice as possible regarding any schedule changes. Our goal remains to celebrate this special occasion outdoors if conditions allow.
