Up next on Thursday we heard from our GRSP student, Loski Jin. Loski is from China and will graduate in May from UGA. We were one of 4 clubs in our area to sponsor Loski this year. Loski read a heartfelt letter thanking Rotary for the experiences he encountered in the past year. He also thanked his host family for the experiences of an American Christmas and Thanksgiving. Loski will return to China for a few weeks then on to Detroit this summer to intern in a financial institution. In the fall of this year Loski will begin studies for his Masters of Professional Studies at Cornell University. Loski left us with these words: “When Kindness Crosses Borders, how Rotary Changed my life.” On hand to celebrate his accomplishments was Susan Fortson, GRSP Trustee and a member of the Rotary Club of Elberton.

Thursday, April 23rd was a busy day for the Rotary Club of Hartwell. Our first guests were Dr Linda Frey who introduced the winners of this years Laws Of Life Essays. We heard from 12th grader Ja’Cadon Wheeler and from 10th grader Blaire Allen. Congratulations to both of these exceptional students. Next up was an update from two of the Interact students.
