Your Junior Hornets had another tough day at IESA State Competion. Juan Rosales, Charlie Parker, Jaxin Golliher, Cash Stott, and Andrew Aguilar all lost in the wrestle backs. Rigo Herrera battled his way to place 6th and gain a spot on the podium. Liam Parker battled his way to 4th place and Anderson Gonzalez wrestled all the way to 2nd place!! All 8 Junior Hornet wrestlers can walk away from the toughest tournament in the state with their heads held high knowing they wrestled their hardest and left it all on the mat.

It was a great first day of state competition. Your Junior Hornets had some very tough battles and the road to the podium continues for all 8 wrestlers. We have 2 wrestlers guaranteed a spot on the podium. Liam Parker and Anderson Gonzalez both won their first 2 matches and will to continue to battle tomorrow for a spot in the finals. Rigo Herrera, Juan Rosales, Charlie Parker, Jaxin Golliher, Cash Stott, and Andrew Aguilar all went 1-1 and will continue their battle back in their quest for 3rd place!

8 Junior Hornets will be competing in the IESA State Tournament this Friday and Saturday March 7th and 8th at the NIU Convocation Center In DeKalb. If you don’t have plans grab your tickets in advance and come show your Junior Hornets Pride. The 8 Junior Hornets competing are:

The Harvard Junior Hornets traveled to Oregon for wrestling sectionals. They had 13 sectional qualifiers and from that 13, 8 Junior Hornet wrestlers advance to State!! Your Junior Hornets battled against 28 other teams and emerged 2nd place as a team!! The 8 individual state qualifiers are:
Rigo Herrera 2nd place
Juan Rosales 4th place
Liam Parker 2nd place
Charlie Parker 3rd place
Anderson Gonzalez 3rd place
Jaxin Golliher 3rd place
Cash Stott 4th place
Andrew Aguilar 2nd place
These young men will compete for a place on the state podium March 7th and 8th at NIU in DeKalb. Show up, show your Junior Hornet pride, and cheer them on!

The Junior Hornets traveled to Genoa-Kingston to battle in the Rt 72 Conference Tournament against Oregon, Byron, Winnebago, Genoa-Kingston, Polo, North Boone, Meridian Cardinals, and DuPec. Your Junior Hornets emerged VICTORIOUS as Conference Champions!! Not only are they conference champs, they are your Dual Team champions as well!! Congratulations on a job well done in the regular season to earn that very prestigious title of Dual Team Champions!

The Junior Hornets traveled to Hebron for Regionals. Every single wrestler, wrestled their hearts out today. They wrestled so well that they are Regional Team Champions!!! We also have 7 individual Regional Champions.

The Harvard Junior Hornets traveled to Genoa-Kingston today to battle in an 11 team tournament. All of the junior hornets battled extremely well finishing 3rd place as a team and bringing home a team trophy!! We are extremely proud of each and every one of the wrestlers and managers who helped take pictures and keep our wrestlers on time for all their matches. We will be traveling back to Genoa Kingston Jan. 30 to face GK and Winnebago in a triangular. We welcome all support as the young men and women battle for Harvard. Our Annual Novice tournament will be held Saturday February 1st at the Harvard Jr High School come show our novice wrestlers your support!!!

The Harvard Junior High Hornets traveled to Johnsburg for a 16 team tournament. All wrestlers fought hard and did very well against some tough opponents. Our next tournament is 1/25 in Genoa Kingston. Feel free to come cheer for our Junior Hornets!!!
