New at the HPL: WhaZoodle! Come borrow one today!

WhaZoodle is a portable, interactive, screen‑free speaker that helps kids learn, play, and relax independently through a rich universe of curated audio—no Wi‑Fi, no apps, no downloads, no ads, and no data collection. Kids choose among three intuitive modes—Explore, Recess, and Relax—to spark curiosity, move and play, or unwind with calming audio. Content is age‑appropriate, selected by experts, and organized by educational themes to nurture imagination, skills, and emotional well‑being.

Why it matters: Families get easier bedtimes, fewer screen‑time battles, and more moments of independent, constructive engagement—kids can enjoy stories, music, jokes, guided meditations, and soundscapes on their own.

Did you know that Origami Master Michael LaFosse is coming to the HPL on Wednesday?
He will be doing two interactive presentations on Wednesday, the first at 12:45 PM for Ages 6 to 12, and the second at 2:00 PM for Grades 6 through Adult.

And Michael's many books on origami are on display in the children's room if you'd like to check out a couple - plus the documentary DVD "Between The Folds," in which Michael is one of ten featured paper artists.
