🩺🚑 Scrubs Camp is Coming Back! 🩻🧪

We are excited to share that SMP Health – St. Aloisius has once again received funding through the Center for Rural Health to host our annual 6th Grade Scrubs Camp! 🎉

On Friday, October 16, local 6th graders will spend a full day getting a hands-on look at the many careers that make healthcare happen right here in our community.

Students will get to explore:

🧪 Laboratory
🩻 Radiology
🩺 Doctors & Nurse Practitioners
💙 Nursing
💪 Physical & Occupational Therapy
🚑 Ambulance/Emergency Services
🏥 Wells County District Health Unit
…and more!

It's a fun day of learning, asking questions, trying new things, and maybe even inspiring a few future healthcare professionals! 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

🥫 Help Us Reach 100 Pounds! 🥫

September is a month of giving at SMP Health – St. Aloisius! ❤️

Beginning September 1, we are collecting nonperishable food items for our local food pantry through St. Vincent de Paul, with a goal of donating 100 pounds of food! 🎯

St. Vincent de Paul dedicated his life to serving people experiencing poverty and hardship. His example of compassion and service continues today through organizations that help neighbors with basic needs—including food. ❤️

📍 Drop-off: Front Desk Lobby
📅 September 1–28
🥫 Goal: 100 pounds of food!

Employees, patients, visitors, and community members are all welcome to help us fill the donation area and reach our goal.

🎉 Exciting things are happening in our OR! 🎉

Our OR team is keeping busy with 8 different providers bringing specialty care right here to Harvey! 🙌 From general surgery and endoscopy to orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, plastic and hand surgery, and VenaSeal procedures — there is a lot happening close to home!

And thanks to some amazing community support, our team has even more tools to help them do what they do best. ❤️

Generous grant funding through the Otto Bremer Trust Community Responsive Grant and the Harvey Area Community Foundation helped us purchase a new Zoll defibrillator, colonoscope, Mayo stand, and equipment for ENT procedures.
New equipment means improved safety, expanded services, and more opportunities for our patients to receive the care they need without having to travel. 🏥👏

A BIG thank you to the North Dakota Community Foundation, Otto Bremer Trust, and Harvey Area Community Foundation for investing in rural healthcare and our community!

And a shoutout to our OR crew — Melanie, Kaitlin, and Dixie — who are pictured with some of the new equipment and keep things moving behind the scenes!
