On April 05, 2026, at approximately 6:36 p.m., Harvey Officers responded to the area of 158th and Carse Ave regarding shots being fired. When the officers arrived, they spoke with the two victims, both 77 years old. One victim explained that they had just driven out of their garage and were heading northbound. As they approached 158th Street, they suddenly heard several gunshots, which led him to instruct his wife to get down.

The driver further advised that the passenger's front door and window were struck by gunfire. Neither victim were hurt during the incident.

During the investigation, the possible suspect’s vehicle was towed from 15800 Carse to the Harvey Police Department garage for processing.

Investigators reviewed footage from the Flock Live Video Camera located at the corner of 158th and Carse. They discovered that the camera captured the suspect's vehicle 10 minutes before the shooting occurred. Additionally, after the shooting, the camera recorded the shooter fleeing the scene.

The investigation is to be continued.

Anyone with information on this individual's whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Baptist at (708) 712-9454 or [email protected]. Callers can remain anonymous.
