Harveys Lake, PA - Environmental Advisory Council

Harveys Lake, PA - Environmental Advisory Council EAC is an officially constituted municipal board created to advise the Borough of Harveys Lake on environmental issues and policies.

The council consists of 6 members who serve without compensation and are appointed by the Harveys Lake Borough Council. EAC identifies environmental issues and recommends plans and programs to the appropriate municipal agencies. EAC is involved in a number of initiatives that reduce pollution and protect and improve the quality of our environment in all lands that contribute water to Harveys Lake.

To ALL Harveys Lake users. With the warm water temperatures, the algae condition has worsened, specifically from Alderson to the Pa. F & B launch. Please keep pets OUT of the water. While there is not an official bloom or scum on the water, there is a heavy concentration near the surface. Hopefully there can be some preliminary water testing to check for HABS, (harmful algal blooms).

P.S.A. Notice to the Harveys Lake Community. Harveys Lake was NOT awarded any funding for Hydrilla treatment this year , so there will be no treatment for Hydrilla on the Lake waters. Please be advised that any treatment must be done by a certified, licensed applicator with a completed permit to do such an application.
