The Thermal Imaging Camera is a tool that reads heat the way a regular camera reads light. That makes it valuable for firefighters in low-visibility environments. Here, it shows the superheated gases escaping from a flowpath prop, even where no flames are visible to the naked eye.

Sad news out of Boston this morning. A life dedicated to service, Firefighter Kilduff made the ultimate sacrifice.

Our thoughts are with his family, the Boston Fire Department, and Boston Firefighters Local 718 IAFF.

Our hearts, our prayers, and our most solemn condolences this morning are with the family of Boston Fire Department Firefighter Robert Kilduff Jr. and his brother and sister firefighters on Boston Fire Rescue Company 2 and across the Department. There are no words to capture the depth of grief or the loss to the fire service and the Commonwealth.

Busy day at the Harwich DPW as they are moving shelving and equipment from Engine 1 and Engine 2 and performing vehicle inspections for the rest of the fleet.

Such a valuable asset to the town, having the capability to have this work done in house.
